Chad Hansen
Pro-Active Home Builders, Inc. is a young company with over 40 years of experience. Chad Hansen is the President of the company. He has been in construction for over 30 years. As a young man, Chad went to work for his father's company Mountain Cedar Inc., as an installer of siding, quickly he moved up to being a lead, foreman, and then a superintendent.
In 1992, Chad continued learning more about carpentry and management skills with another company that specialized in building docks, boathouses, rockeries, and bulkheads.
In 1996, Chad partnered up with his mother and father's siding company, American Heritage Builders, Inc., as the Vice President. American Heritage Builders, Inc. was purchased in early 2006, and Chad was retained to manage the siding company as well as start-up and manage the brand new Distribution and Window companies. In 2009 Chad, along with his wife Candi, formed Pro-Active Home Builders, Inc.
Andy Hanson (Operations Manager / Owner )
He started in the construction industry in 2005 after graduating from Central Washington University with a degree in Information Technology Administrative Management. He first went to work for CoverAll Construction, where he started out as a laborer.
By 2006, he had moved up to superintendent and was running commercial job sites from Everett to Long Beach, Washington.
In 2008, Andy moved out of the field and into the office as a project manager, bidding jobs and supervising all the superintendents.
In 2011, Andy went to work for RailPro, a railing solutions company installing different types of rail and glass for decks, stairwells, roofs, fencing, etc.
In 2012, he became the newest member of the Pro-Active Home Builders, Inc. team. In 2019 he became a partner.
Jesse Hansen (Purchasing Manager/Owner):
Jesse entered the construction industry in 2012. He worked for Pro-Active Home Builders for 1 year as a delivery driver. In 2014 Jesse went to work for Phillips Construction, a framing and building company that framed custom homes. In 2015 Jesse came back to work for Pro-Active Home Builders as an estimator and purchaser. In 2019 Jesse became part owner of Pro-Active Home Builders.
John Clark (Superintendent)
John has 37 years’ experience in the industry. He started out working with his father in 1983 for Cedar King Lumber Co. siding single-family homes for about 10 years. Then went to work for Paulson Construction for 3 years. In the mid 90’s he started working for American Heritage Builders until they were sold in 2006. He them became a warehouse manager for a siding distribution company, building and shipping siding loads. After that John went back to work as a sider for Eagle Creek Siding Company for 2 years before joining Pro-Active Home Builders. In 2014 John moved on from siding houses and became one of our Superintendents.
Rodil Rodriguez (Superintendent)
Rod has been working in construction since 2007 where he began as a laborer until 2009 when he joined the Army. After his military service he moved to Washington and became an apprentice carpenter. In just a few years Rod had worked his way up to the position of superintendent at International Building Investments where he oversaw multi-family and commercial remodeling. Rod then started his own company R&T Builders where he focused on home remodels and siding. He then turned his focus on commercial construction where he was contracted out by 2020gc to travel and manage the construction of retail stores such as Sunglass Hut, LensCrafters and Oakley. In 2019 Rod returned to Washington to be closer to his family where he started on at Pro-Active Home Builders as our newest Superintendent.
Adam Owada (Safety officer)
Adam joined the company since 2014. He is in charge of all thing’s safety and risk reduction. Before coming to Pro-Active he was in law school, and realizing his interests lay in business rather than law, looked for an opportunity to apply his legal knowledge in a business capacity. Adam uses his background and interest in contract law to write and negotiate all of Pro-Active's various contracts and represents the company in legal matters.
