Chad Hansen

Pro-Active Home Builders, may be a young company, but it’s backed by over 40 years of combined industry experience. President Chad Hansen brings more than three decades of hands-on construction knowledge to the team.

Chad began his career working for his father’s company, Mountain Cedar Inc., where he started as a siding installer and quickly advanced to lead installer, foreman, and eventually superintendent. In 1992, he broadened his skill set by joining a company that specialized in docks, boathouses, rockeries, and bulkheads, gaining valuable experience in both carpentry and project management.

By 1996, Chad joined his family’s business once again, this time as Vice President of American Heritage Builders, Inc. When the company was acquired in 2006, Chad stayed on to manage its siding division while also launching and overseeing new ventures in distribution and windows.

In 2009, Chad and his wife Candi took the next step by founding Pro-Active Home Builders, Inc., combining decades of expertise with a forward-thinking approach to quality construction.

 

Andy Hanson (Operations Manager / Owner )

Andy began his career in the construction industry in 2005 after earning a degree in Information Technology Administrative Management from Central Washington University. He started at CoverAll Construction as a laborer, but quickly proved his capabilities earning a promotion to superintendent by 2006. In that role, he managed commercial job sites across Washington, from Everett to Long Beach.

By 2008, Andy transitioned from the field to the office, taking on responsibilities as a project manager, where he bid projects and oversaw a team of superintendents. In 2011, he expanded his expertise by joining RailPro, a railing solutions company specializing in custom installations for decks, stairwells, roofs, fencing, and more.

In 2012, Andy brought his broad industry experience to Pro-Active Home Builders, Inc., becoming an integral part of the team. His dedication and leadership led to his becoming a partner in 2019.

Jesse Hansen (Purchasing Manager/Owner):

Jesse began his construction career in 2012, joining Pro-Active Home Builders, Inc. as a delivery driver. After gaining valuable hands on experience, he went on to work for Phillips Construction in 2014 a company specializing in framing custom homes where he further developed his understanding of residential building.

In 2015, Jesse returned to Pro-Active Home Builders in a new role as an estimator and purchaser, where his attention to detail and project knowledge proved invaluable. His continued growth and dedication to the company led to his becoming a partner in 2019.

John Clark (Superintendent)

John brings over 37 years of experience to the construction industry. His career began in 1983, working alongside his father at Cedar King Lumber Co., where he spent a decade siding single family homes. He then spent three years with Paulson Construction, further honing his craft.

In the mid-1990s, John joined American Heritage Builders, where he remained until the company was sold in 2006. Following that, he transitioned into a warehouse manager role for a siding distribution company, where he was responsible for building and shipping siding loads.

John returned to the field as a sider with Eagle Creek Siding Company for two years before bringing his expertise to Pro-Active Home Builders, Inc. In 2014, John stepped into a leadership role as one of our Superintendents, where he continues to be an invaluable part of the team.

Chris Woelke (Superintendent)

Chris brings 5 years of experience in the siding industry and plays a key role as a Superintendent at Pro-Active Home Builders. He oversees day-to-day site operations, coordinating crews, managing schedules, and ensuring projects are completed on time and to high-quality standards. Chris is known for his hands-on leadership style and strong communication skills, working closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep jobs running efficiently. His dedication, attention to detail, and ability to lead teams in dynamic environments make him an integral part of the Pro-Active team.

Summer Brown (Office Manger & Safety Officer)

Summer serves as the Office Manager and Safety Officer at Pro-Active Home Builders with a steady, servant hearted approach shaped by over seven years in property management. Her experience spans both established apartment communities and new construction lease ups, including direct involvement in a large scale project in Burien, WA during its stabilization and full occupancy phase. Throughout her career, she’s been entrusted with responsibilities such as conducting property inspections, coordinating maintenance, leasing, and managing daily and financial operations across multifamily communities.

Known for her quiet diligence, attention to detail, and a people centered mindset, she helps ensure projects remain organized, secure, and grounded in integrity. Her leadership reflects a desire not just to get the job done, but to do it with care, consistency, and purpose.
